FD-1 is a semi-modular effect plugin that features dedicated Filter, Delay, and Modulation sections. At its core, FD-1 is designed to create rhythmic patterns and grooves by guiding the signal through a modulated filter section before passing it on to a delay stage. However, its capabilities extend far beyond this initial function.

The plugin comes equipped with a built-in Step Sequencer and Low-Frequency Oscillator, serving as modulation sources and are particularly suitable for crafting rhythmic filter sequences – either free running or tempo-synced to a host application. Thanks to its semi-modular design, every control within FD-1 can serve as a modulation target. This flexibility provides users with an extensive range of effects and combinations, spanning from Chorus and Flanger-style effects, to Analog and Tape Echo effects, to more complex Stutter and Repeat effects.
